  4. Apply to job postings promptly. Employers are often looking to fill roles quickly and you do not want to miss out on the opportunity by being tardy.

  5. Your job applications should include a copy of your CV and a cover letter with the details of the job that you are applying for. Include the job reference number if suitable. Briefly summarise your skills and experience. Include your name, address, phone number and the date of your application.

  6. Speak to as many people about potential jobs as you can. Invest time in increasing your networking circles. This includes recruitment and job agencies.

  7. Follow up applications to advertised roles with a phone call. There may be other jobs that are available that have not yet been advertised.
